Diverse Travel has appointed Phillip Connor in the new role of sales manager.
The specialist dive tour operator said the expansion came as the outlook for travel looked “increasingly positive”.
Connor has more than 35 years’ experience in the specialist travel market, having started his career in the mid-1980s and worked in sales, marketing, operational and product development roles with different tour operators over the years.
He is well-known in the worldwide scuba diving and watersports market, having specialised in this type of travel for much of his career, but has also travelled extensively and spent time in the Middle East and southeast Asia.
He said: “Having known my new colleagues for many years, I am delighted to join Diverse in the role of sales manager. The team has a wealth of expertise, and I am looking forward to working together to boost Diverse Travel’s presence in the market at what is a really exciting time in the travel industry.”
The operator is a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA), part of The Travel Network Group, and sells via agents, offering net prices for agents to mark-up.
