A team from dnata Travel Group UK and G Adventures climbed Mount Toubkal in Morocco over the weekend in a bid to raise £10,000 for communities in the country.
Fifteen dnata Travel Group UK colleagues, plus Stu Darnley and Jen Watson from G Adventures, began trekking up the 4,167-metre-high mountain on Friday (May 17) and reached its summit on Sunday (May 19).
They aim to raise £10,000 for communities in Morocco via Planeterra, G Adventures’ not-for-profit partner, which uses community tourism as a force for good.
The trek was also part of a dnata Travel Group initiative called dnata4good, which aims to support the communities in which the business works.
Lesley Rollo, chief executive of dnata Travel Group UK, said: “At dnata we are passionate about providing assistance to persons impacted by disaster, illness and crisis situations, much like the terrible earthquakes that impacted Morocco last year.
“Dnata4good exists to give back where we can, so partnering with G Adventures on this incredible mission is just a small step in supporting a country faced with the unimaginable.”
