First Class Holidays announces further appointments

First Class Holidays has made a further two appointments, bringing the number of new recruits in the last six months to 18.

Lorna Curry joins the tour operator as product manager for Canada and the US while Claire Green joins as a travel specialist but will also focus on the company’s increasing presence in Northern Ireland.

The company announced the creation of 16 new agent-facing roles in July, including 10 destination experts, but increased this to 18 due to increase demand.

Managing director Dan Gathercole said the latest appointments came as the operator continued to experience strong sales and would help ensure a quicker turnaround for agent quotes.

Speaking on the appointment of the new product manager role, he said: “Lorna’s appointment adds a wealth of experience to the team and will help us review and refresh our product range and ensure that we continue to offer the widest range of Canada holidays to the trade”.

He predicted several busy months in the run-up to the peak sales period at the turn of year.

“Canada is selling extremely well at the minute, and our recent recruitment drive means we can offer same day quotes for agents for all our destinations,” he added. “With all flights and hotels now in booking range for the 2024 Canada season and with new brochures soon to launch we really are optimistic that the growth will continue well into peaks.”
