Former Avis head of travel international global travel and partnerships Lynette Dungey has joined self-catering holiday specialist The Travel Chapter.

Dungey has taken the role of head of property, West Wales, at the company, which owns the brand and offers accommodation across the UK, including yurts and castles. The company does not sell through the trade.

Prior to the new role Dungey worked at Avis for more than four years, and at Thomas Cook for just over nine and a half years, most recently as national sales manager for retail and UK airports.

At The Travel Chapter she is responsible for managing and developing a regional team of property account managers who are the firm’s main contact for owners of holiday properties marketed by the business.

She said: “I am delighted to have joined such an ambitious, dynamic and fast growing company, particularly at this exciting time for domestic tourism.

“After the year everyone has had, UK breaks will be set to soar this year and I can’t wait to be a part of The Travel Chapter’s journey and success.”
