Fred Olsen extends cruise sale after ‘phenomenal’ start to year

A sale by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has been extended into February after the company claimed a record first month of the year.

Booking levels included a 50% rise in those trying the line for the first time compared to pre-pandemic January 2020.

Offers cover 60 departures ranging from five to 29 nights in duration including sailings from Southampton, Rosyth, Newcastle and Liverpool.

Prices start at £599 per person, plus a choice of a free all inclusive drinks package or on board spend on selected 2023 cruises when booked before February 28.

The new offers also include dedicated savings for solo travellers, with cruises starting at £849pp. Fares for single passengers for next year start at £699.

Managing director Peter Deer said: “We have seen a phenomenal start to the year, with bookings – including those trying our brand for the first time – exceeding those in our last pre-pandemic year in 2019.

“To build on that momentum, we have extended our cruise sale into February with a selection of new offers so that even more people can plan adventures to look forward to this year.”
