Asia specialist Inside Travel Group has appointed Gabo Quiros to the role of UK trade manager.
He replaces Matt Spiller who left the Bristol-based company in March to join Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Quiros will return the travel industry, having had previous roles with Much Better Adventures, G Adventures and Intrepid.
He will head the trade team at Inside Travel Group, parent company of InsideJapan and InsideAsia Tours, and starts on June 5.
Simon King, the group’s co-founder, said: “The travel trade is key to our business strategy. We are very much looking to continue the good work that our trade team have done over the years, and we believe that Gabo will bring fresh enthusiasm, ideas and experience into the company to enable us to continue building stronger relationships with all of our trade partners.”
Quiros added: “I’m really looking forward to re-joining the travel industry with a well-respected brand and one so dedicated to creating a better and more sustainable industry.
“We will aim to work even closer with the trade providing high levels of service and the incredible holidays that we are renowned for.
“I cannot wait to get involved with our agents, as all our destinations see steady increase in demand, but especially so with Japan and South Korea. I look forward to building better relationships with existing and new agents very soon.”
