Escorted touring specialist Jules Verne has launched a new tour of Pakistan.

The Pakistan, Mughals, Mystic & Mountains itinerary includes visits to Lahore, Islamabad, Khaplu, Shigar, Hunza Valley and Gilgit.

Guests will take a Lahore food tour, attend a Wagah border ceremony, watch a polo match, and spend an evening at a women-run carpet weaving centre.

Prices start from £4,895 based on a June 2 departure and includes Virgin Atlantic flights from Heathrow.

The operator said it has launched the new itinerary as it predicts Pakistan will be “one of the top travel destinations of 2023”, which is why it has created the “perfect tour” of the country.

General manager Debbie O’Neill said: “We are proud to launch a small group escorted tour that gets to the heart of the country, culture and people with genuine, authentic experiences.

“It includes breathtaking landscape, heartfelt local interaction and the most wonderful hotels in Pakistan.

“The places, the transport, the short stops, the meals and accommodation are opportunities for us to make each travel experience a little bit more enjoyable.

“We integrate elements of local culture in the form of stays at historical forts, local cuisine and immersive travel experiences within the arrangements.”
