Kuoni is to open a ‘lifestyle’ travel store in Liverpool with a Bali beach club theme and a bar serving everything from cocktails to coffee.
The travel firm is relocating its current high street store in the city to the Liverpool One shopping centre, which is seen as a prime location for footfall and visibility.
Kuoni said it was using the opportunity to completely restyle the interior of the shop and had chosen the new design based on the branch’s strong sales of long-haul beach holidays, particularly Bali, the Maldives and Mauritius.
“All Kuoni stores are unique and have different designs. We have gone with this concept to compliment Liverpool city’s cool vibe and atmosphere,” said a spokeswoman.
The new-look shop opens on May 15 with six staff.
It will have a Bali beach club theme, with a bar area for customers to sup cocktails and champagne as well as teas and coffees while chatting with the team about their holiday plans.
Store manager Jane Griffiths said: “It’s fantastic that Liverpool has been chosen to launch our new store design concept and exciting to be able to move to a new, high footfall location within the city.
“We’ve taken inspiration from holidays we know our local clients love which is why the design is themed around Bali beach clubs.”
