Prestige Travel expands short-haul specialist team

Prestige Travel has expanded its short-haul specialist team ahead of a website revamp and plans to add a new destination next month.

Dave Watson joined as European sales specialist this week, bringing the number in the short-haul specialist team to five.

Watson has worked as a sales consultant for Classic Collection Holidays since 2019 and began his travel career at Thomas Cook in West Sussex in 2000, where he worked his way up the ranks from sales consultant to branch manager.

Travel trade relationship manager Joe Lavers said: “Dave’s extensive experience, agent relationships, strong sales record, and a genuine passion for travel will complement our existing team of experts perfectly.

“The Prestige way is to really go that extra mile with great service to agents across all our destinations with our dedicated teams for short-haul, Australia and New Zealand, and Canada, plus a new destination to be launched in June.”

Watson said: “I have had a wonderful welcome from all the staff and management at Prestige Travel, and I am looking forward to using my specialities regarding Spain, Italy, and putting together authentic multi-centre itineraries for agents.”

The operator plans to launch the first phase of its new website in June and a new destination, with further destinations to be announced later this year, in time for the peak sales period in 2025.

It is continuing to run its current voucher incentive with agents, which reward agents with vouchers ranging from £25 for a £3,000 booking up to £300 for sales over £30,000.
