Solmar Villas beefs up leadership team with two hires

Solmar Villas has bolstered its leadership team by bringing two industry veterans into the family run business.

Brian Mebourne has been appointed chief technology & product officer while Sue Goddard joins as operations director.

Mebourne spent 15 years with GTA – later acquired by Hotelbeds – and 10 years with Open Destinations.

He will be responsible for delivering a scalable technology strategy across the entire business, including digital and operational touchpoints, according to the company.

Goddard spent more than 17 years with Center Parcs, most recently as service development director.

In her new role she will lead the day-to-day operational business with responsibility for customer experience and operations, including direct leadership of the pre-travel, overseas and customer resolution teams. 

The operator’s chief executive Julie Blake said: “We are thrilled to welcome Brian and Sue, and to have two stellar travel industry leaders in our team. 

“We are embarking upon an exciting phase of growth and with them at the helm of these departments, we are better placed than ever to elevate our guest experience, supplier relationships and journey, e-commerce performance and booking technology developments.”
