APT hires Robin Griffiths as Midlands business development manager

Robin Griffiths has been named by APT as business development manager for the Midlands after more than a decade at Kuoni.

He joins the company in November to take responsibility for building APT and Travelmarvel’s relationships with key trade partners.

Griffiths was part of a Kuoni trade sales team reformed in August after the pandemic. He has also worked for Emirates and Gold Medal.

APT said his appointment was the first step in a recently announced trade team expansion as the river cruise, yachting and touring operator ramps up its trade support.

The 95-year-old business is prioritising the trade as it looks ahead to its centenary and beyond after seeing sales exceed pre-pandemic levels.

Head of sales and business development Brad Bennetts, who also previously worked at Kuoni after moving to easyJet holidays for almost two years, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Robin Griffiths to the APT family.

“Having worked with Robin before, I know that he will hit the ground running, and his professionalism and intricate understanding of the travel trade will be a fantastic asset as we build awareness of our products and commercial opportunities for our valued agent partners.”

Griffiths added: “I am very excited to be joining APT at such an exciting time for the brand, and to raise awareness of the brands’ incredible product offerings still further in the Midlands.

“I am looking forward to helping existing trade partners to find even greater sales success, as well as introducing new agents to the myriad opportunities that APT and Travelmarvel can offer them and their clients.”
