Classic Package Holidays has added mid and long-haul destinations to its existing short-haul proposition
The trade-only tour operator, owned by On the Beach, has introduced Dubai, Mexico and Caribbean destinations Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia and the Dominican Republic for 2021.
Departures can not be booked any earlier than May 1, 2021. The company said its “cautious approach” was due to current restrictions on travel, and phased re-openings of countries.
Alex Gavalda, director of product and commercial, said: “We’re thrilled to announce that Dubai, Mexico, Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia, the Dominican Republic are now on sale with Classic Package Holidays.
“We are seeing strong, pent-up demand for these perennial UK market favourites and are making them even more tempting to our trade partners by offering them with the competitive prices that agents associate with the Classic Package Holidays’ brand.”
Gavalda said Classic Package Holidays would be adding new properties and destinations over the next few weeks.
“We are offering a wider choice to our travel agent partners at a time when challenging market conditions could see a reduction in booking options for the trade,” he said. “The increased market share that our additional destinations will bring ties in with our strategy of growing Classic Package Holidays into the market-leading business-to-business-only proposition.”
Si Morris-Green, director of agency sales and marketing, added: “Our travel agent partners asked us to extend our Classic Package Holidays’ proposition beyond short haul destinations and we’re delighted to have been able to respond with the introduction of these new destinations.
“We want to offer travel agents the ultimate freedom, flexibility and choice for their customers and are constantly reviewing our product and booking process via feedback from our trade partners. Classic Package Holidays allows agents to make bookings with instant confirmation at any time of day or night, backed by the financial and safety guarantees of our Classic Commitment.”
