Club Med predicts record demand for winter 2021-22

Club Med expects 2021-22 to be its most successful winter season on record due to pent-up demand for ski holidays.

People will be looking to return to the slopes following the early closure of the ski season last year and resumption this winter yet to be confirmed due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.

The all-inclusive operator is offering a 15% early booking discount for four days from February 8-11 for departures between November 2021 and April 2022.

Children under four stay for free in all ski resorts and under six in  winter sun properties. Club Med is also offering a £150 low deposit.

The opening of winter 2021-22 sales comes as the operator unveiled details of its first resort in Canada.

Charlevoix, located in the province of Quebec will offer a Nordic spa with luxury treatments, swimming pool, snow fountain and outdoor terrace overlooking the St Lawrence River.

The resort, will offer an Exclusive Collection 5-Trident space with 25 suites and a private lounge with exclusive services available to guests.

Guests will be able to ski-in-ski-out to the Laurentian Mountains as well as participating in activities such as snowmobiling and ice-fishing.

The resort, to open from December 2021, will be the first in the portfolio to open all year round with a four season offering.

Les Arcs Panorama, Quebec and Alpe d’Huez are expected to be among the best sellers for the season, with February half-term and the Christmas period already expected to be most popular.

Club Med UK and Northern Europe managing director Estelle Giraudeau said: “The winter 2021-22 season is set to be one like no other, with the last two winter seasons heavily disrupted, we are anticipating an unprecedented demand for winter sports trips as well as winter sun escapes this season.

“We are expecting a huge demand for many of our resorts including Les Arcs Panorama and Alpe d’Huez which are predicted to be best sellers for next season.”
