Cruise line body seeks agent feedback on sustainability

Almost 10,000 agent members of Clia across the UK are to be asked about their views on sustainability and responsible travel.

The results will be used to help shape future trade-friendly resources and training materials about cruise lines’ efforts in environmental technologies and practices.

The questionnaire include topics such as how well-informed agents feel they are about cruise sustainability activities, specific areas of customer interest, and preferred tools for picking up the latest insight and know-how.

Clia UK & Ireland managing director Andy Harmer said: “Sustainability is an absolute priority for the industry. We are committed to helping agents to develop their all-round knowledge of everything we are doing, to support our vision for net zero carbon cruising by 2050.

“We would encourage member agents to fill in this survey as it will shape our future plans, as well as better support them to assist customers and colleagues.

“The more we can work in partnership alongside each other the better equipped we will be to meet our climate ambitions. Everyone’s view counts.”
