Experience Kissimmee cuts West Ham ties over Zouma cat kicking

Experience Kissimmee has confirmed it will end its sponsorship of West Ham United Football Club after footage emerged of defender Kurt Zouma kicking a cat.

The RSPCA yesterday removed Zouma’s two pet cats after videos appeared on social media, and he has since been dropped by his other sponsors Adidas and Vitality.

Experience Kissimmee, which yesterday said it was ‘evaluating’ whether it would drop its association with the Premier League club, has now confirmed it is cutting ties.

The sponsorship, as destination partner, was first agreed in 2016, and extended in 2019 (see picture).

DT Minich, president and chief executive of the tourist board, said: “Due to recent events, Experience Kissimmee has made the decision to part ways with West Ham United Football Club and end our sponsorship of the team.

“As an organisation and community, we welcome visitors and locals alike to join us in celebrating wildlife and nature, now and always. We are proud to work with partners who are accredited, certified and regulated to the highest standards of animal care.”

Kissimmee is based 25 miles from Orlando International airport and is home to an abundance of protected swamps, marshes, and rivers.

Kurt Zouma has since apologised for his actions.
