Holland America Line reports Alaska bookings surge

Holland America Line saw the highest booking levels for Alaska cruising in June since before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The surge in interest was attributed to pent-up demand to travel combined with the US Independence Day weekend.

Chief commercial officer Beth Bodensteiner said: “People are excited to travel again while reconnecting with family and friends in a meaningful way.

“We’re seeing the pent-up demand leading to increased booking as guests realise cruising is a hassle-free way to enjoy unique destinations such as Alaska.”

The company runs Alaska cruises from Seattle and claims to offer more sailings to the state from Vancouver than any other cruise line.
