International charity Just a Drop is encouraging consumers to run virtual fund raising events to mark World Water Day today (Monday).
Just a Drop has set up a fundraising campaign, Steps to Water, to mark the day and is encouraging businesses and individuals to see what they might be able to do to help.
From wearing just blue for the week of World Water Day, to organising fun runs and movie nights, the organisation has a host of activities to help inspire and contribute to the health and wellbeing of these communities.
An online Fundraising Pack has been produced with information and ideas to help this World Water Day.
The campaign is being backed by Just a Drop’s supporters from the travel industry including World Travel Market.
Support is being directed to Rincon Community in Nicaragua, a remote community who following the project will have access to clean, safe water piped directly into their homes.
