SCHOOLS risk stranding children abroad unless they check
their travel companies are properly licensed, the Civil Aviation Authority is
warning.
In a new leaflet to schools, the CAA stresses a decision to
go with unlicensed or unbonded firms, or arrange their own unbonded travel,
could result in schools and parents being out of pocket or pupils being left
overseas.
The leaflet explains how schools can check they are covered
under ATOL regulations and to ensure their agent and operator has adequate
bonding.
