ARGO Holidays parent InterArgo Travel Group has bought US
specialist Jetlife Holidays for an undisclosed price.
Both companies will remain in their respective bases and
maintain their own brands, although sales and marketing, account and ticketing
departments will be centralised.
Combined, the companies will be able to offer a total of 40
destinations covering four countries.
Ian Morrison will remain as managing director of Jetlife and
Allan Fyfe will retain the position of overseas contract director.
InterArgo Travel Group chief finance officer Akis
Christoforu predicted the acquisition would result in a 20% increase in overall
bookings.
“We have been looking for, and continue to look for,
complementary businesses to introduce into our portfolio,” he added.
