THOMSON is expected to confirm Coventry Airport as the
launch base for its new seat-only operation next week.
The company will unveil its blueprint on Monday and is
set to confirm plans to base between two and four Boeing 737s at the airport,
operating daily seat-only routes to a range of summer destinations.
Coventry has been strongly tipped to be the launch
airport since the summer, but both sides have so far remained
tight lipped.
The company advertised for B737 pilots for an
“exciting new venture” based in the Midlands earlier this year.
