UK travel industry veteran Steve Allen is among a trio of key management appointments across the dnata Travel business in the Middle East.
Allen, former Portman Travel chief executive, is named as corporate travel senior vice president for the Middle East and India.
He was a board director of Radius Travel, the Gtmc and Abta as well as a trustee and treasurer for The Travel Foundation charity.
Allen is one of three senior appointments aimed at helping further strengthen the Emirates company’s commercial footprint, drive synergies and efficiencies across the travel portfolio, and help position it in its next stage of development.
E-commerce expert Anirudh Rao Gauravaram becomes head of growth at dnata Travel while Alaa Al Khatib is named as head of new ventures for ME&I, moving from within the Emirates Group.
