Wizz Air saw passenger numbers soar by almost a third last month to 2.6 million.
The eastern and central European low-cost carrier achieved a rise of 30.5% in October over the same month in 2016.
The passenger load factor went up by 2.1 percentage points to 92.1% as year-on-year capacity increased by 27.5% to almost 2.9 million.
The growth came as Athens was announced as Wizz Air’s 144th destination.
The airline also applied for a UK Air Operator’s Certificate, demonstrating its commitment to Europe’s single largest aviation market.
A new baggage policy was implemented, eliminating a paid-for cabin bag.
October’s figures gave Wizz Air a rolling annual total of 29.6 million passengers, up 33.5%.
