Marella Cruises has launched its first television advert on New Year’s Day as it looks to cement its new brand name among key audiences.
The 10-second advert features in the same ad breaks as Tui and will be shown on terrestrial channels, including ITV and Channel 4, and various Sky channels.
The same music and voiceover from the Tui advert will be used in the Marella turn-of-year campaign.
In the advert Marella Discovery, one of the line’s newest ships, can be seen sailing across the open seas.
Producers of the ad seek to reassure that Marella Cruises is still part of the Tui brand and aims to highlight the quality service onboard.
The new campaign follows the recent rebrand to Marella Cruises from Thomson Cruises in October.
Chris Hackney, managing director of Marella Cruises, said: “It’s the first time in our history that we have had a cruise advert on television.
“We’re really proud of our brand and as cruising becomes more popular we are moving forward as Marella Cruises, continuing to strive to offer amazing itineraries, fantastic entertainment and the friendliest staff at sea.”
The advert will launch at a key booking period and customers can benefit from £100 off per booking for summer 2018 and winter 2018.
