The first of a fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners has entered service with Air Europa as part of a fleet modernisation plan.
The new generation aircraft will operate between Madrid and Buenos Aires, together with a second B787-9.
The fleet renovation will then see 15 Boeing 787-9s added to the Spanish carrier’s long-haul fleet.
The aircraft is configured in two classes with 30 seats in business and 303 in economy.
Features include in-flight wi-fi, the latest audio-visual entertainment, and a menu offering healthy and organic meals.
Business class passengers have fully reclining seats and a tasting menu prepared by prestigious chef Martín Berasategui.
Air Europa UK managing director Colin Stewart said: “It’s very exciting to see Air Europa commence the second phase of the modernisation plan.
“The Boeing 787-9 is an excellent aircraft that will promise both leisure and business travellers a sleek and comfortable journey.
“Buenos Aires is a great primary destination for this new aircraft and we are looking forward to offering the benefits of this Dreamliner to more of our flight routes as the renewal plan progresses.”
