The Association of Cruise Experts (ACE) has appointed Flo Powell as its new director.
Powell replaces Andy Harmer, who announced his decision to stand down this month in May, and Powell will take up the role in autumn.
She is expected to continue the development and growth of the association, particularly focusing on new cruise training programmes, online training and looking after members.
Powell currently works as executive director for the Tourism Society where she has been credited with growing its membership “substantially”.
She will also further develop the ACE UK Cruise Convention, which this year saw the largest ever gathering of travel agents in the UK.
ACE director Bill Gibbons said: “I am delighted to welcome Flo to ACE.
“She brings great strengths to this role and will be able to deliver highly relevant and creative initiatives for our travel agent and cruiseline members.”
