Hays Travel has opened its sixth new branch this year in the Yorkshire town of Beverley.
It follows openings in Huddersfield, Pontefract, Ashton-under-Lyne, Macclesfield and Plymouth in the first three months of 2019.
The openings bring the total number of retail shops to 182 and has also created 30 new job roles.
The Beverley branch was originally planned to be open before Christmas but encountered property transaction delays.
It is located in Toll Gavel in the town centre and currently employs three staff. An assistant manager is due to join in a few weeks’ time.
Head of retail, Paula Barrett, said: “I’ve been really pleased with the performance of all our new branches this year and we will continue to pursue retail opportunities across all our regions of the UK as they arise.”
Melanie Hart, divisional sales manager North for Hays Travel said: “I believe that people still want that personal service. We will always have people looking online and then come to us because they want that personal service you can’t get online. Because we are independent we check everywhere to get the best deals. I think its also a factor that some people are still wary of the net.”
Hays Travel has not confirmed how many more shops it will open this year.
