Seabourn Venture inaugural cruise to leave from London

Seabourn has released new expedition ship Seabourn Venture’s debut programme ahead of its launch in 2021.

The inaugural cruise – Northern Isles and the Viking Homeland – departs from Greenwich in London on July 15 2021.

Seabourn claims the purpose-built expedition ship will venture further north and south than any ship in Carnival Corporation history.

Bookings opened on May 9 for the 35 itineraries planned for the luxury 264-passenger ship, from summer 2021 to April 2022.

There is a pre-inaugural cruise from Lisbon to Greenwich, departing on July 5 2021, called Highlights of the English Channel.

Summer 2021 will then see a series of cruises along the coasts of Norway, Iceland, Greenland and the Arctic, before the ship heads south in October 2021 to Barbados.

After passing through the Panama Canal, Seabourn Venture will sail along the coast of Peru and Chile to reach Antarctica by November 2021.

The winter 2021/22 season will see itineraries along the coast of Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falklands before the ship heads north to Brazil and the Amazon.

Seabourn Venture returns to Greenwich via Cape Verde, Casablanca and Lisbon in April 2022.

Cruise fares start at £4,499 per person for the seven-day Brazilian Highlights sailing from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janiero, based on double-occupancy.

The inaugural cruise from London costs from £8,999 per person, based on double-occupancy.

The ship offers 132 oceanfront veranda suites, and the chance to explore destinations in two six-guest submarines, 24 Zodiacs, e-bikes and kayaks.

As well as the crew, there will be an onboard expedition team of 26, featuring wilderness experts, scientists, historians and naturalists.
