The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) is working with Travel Weekly and cruise trade body Clia UK & Ireland to host an expedition and adventure travel event.
Called the Clia & Atas Expedition and Adventure Forum, it will take place in Manchester on March 5.
Agents attending the free day-long event will discover useful information during presentations by experts from the world of expedition and adventure travel.
Delegates can also meet representatives from expedition and adventure companies to learn about their latest products, news and developments.
Andy Harmer, Clia UK and Ireland director, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Atas to bring together suppliers and travel agents from the whole sector.
“As customers are increasingly looking for experiential travel and incredible destinations, they are often turning to the expedition and adventure sector to meet their holiday needs.
“The event will explore the travel experiences offered, the destinations visited, and will cover some of the trends and fundamentals needed to grow sales in these complimentary travel sectors.
“We will assemble some of the true experts from this sector, and at our trade fair offer unequalled networking opportunities with key suppliers.”
Paul Melinis, Atas chairman, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Clia and Travel Weekly on this first expedition and adventure forum in a real hotbed for the travel trade.
“There is growing demand for more adventurous experiential travel and we have a range of supplier members who are looking forward to meeting face-to-face with agents to increase their product knowledge and help them to grow their sales.”
The venue is the Victoria Warehouse, Trafford Wharf Road, Manchester.
