Skopelos has been added to Jet2holidays’ growing range of destinations in Greece for this summer.
The island – location for the first Mamma Mia film – will be offered via a private water taxi and coach transfer from Skiathos airport.
The operator will run six flights a week to Skiathos between May and September, including three a week from Manchester, two a week from Stansted and one from Birmingham.
The company will serve 14 Greek destinations this summer, including new ones such as Mykonos, Skiathos, Santorini, Preveza, Kalamata and Lesvos.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “We are delighted to be offering award-winning holidays for the first time to the beautiful island of Skopelos.
“Famous for being the filming location for hit film Mamma Mia, this enchanting island, which offers picture-perfect scenery and unspoiled charm, is ideal for families and couples looking for an authentic, off-the-beaten track Greek holiday.
“We know our package holidays and villa holidays will be a big draw to holidaymakers looking to enjoy an idyllic getaway to a destination often referred to as the ‘Green and Blue Island’.”
