IHG signs for new Staybridge Suites hotel in London

A second Staybridge Suites property is to be opened in London by InterContinental Hotels Group.

The 93-suite hotel in Vauxhall, aimed at guests making extended stays, is due to open early in 2015.

The Vauxhall property will be the fourth Staybridge Suites hotel in the UK alongside Liverpool, Newcastle and London Stratford. Staybridge Suites Birmingham opens later this year.

The new-build hotel will be managed by extended stay hotel specialist Cycas Hospitality, which also manages Staybridge Suites London Stratford City and Staybridge Suites Liverpool.

The hotel will be part of the Spring Mews development project as part of the regeneration of the Albert Embankment and will operate under a franchise agreement with new owner Spring Mews Limited.

Facilities will include apartment-style suites with kitchens, LED TV’s, large work areas and free wi-fi.

A fitness room, business centre, laundry room and 24-hour convenience store. Staybridge Suites also offer a complimentary breakfast buffet and a social evening reception three days a week.

IHG development director Robert Shepherd said: “We’re seeing increasing demand for extended stay properties in a market driven by corporate business.

“Staybridge Suites is a distinctive part of our growth story in Europe and we’re delighted to be working with our new owner partner Spring Mews on this project.”
