Tui has appointed Bart Quinton Smith as director of marketing and sales for the UK & Ireland.
Quinton Smith (pictured, left) will move from his current role of First Choice managing director on January 1, 2025.
The marketing and sales director position has been vacant since Neil Swanson (right) was promoted to become Tui UK & Ireland managing director following the departure of Andrew Flintham in October 2024.
Quinton Smith started at Tui in 2010 as a graduate trainee before moving into leadership positions in commercial, digital and mobile.
He spent two years at Google as an industry manager before moving back to Tui in 2018 as digital marketing and CRM director.
A recruitment process is currently under way to replace Quinton Smith as managing director of First Choice and he will continue to oversee the youth-focused brand during the interim period.
Swanson said: “I am delighted to announce that in January Bart Quinton Smith will be taking up the role of director of marketing & sales for the UK & Ireland Region.
“Bart has extensive experience in sales and marketing roles in the UK business before he took the role of managing director for First Choice, including director of digital marketing and CRM.
“He will remain part of my UK & Ireland board and he is absolutely the right person to lead the sales and marketing function to drive commercial success for the business.”
Quinton Smith said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking on this role following Neil’s appointment to managing director UK & Ireland region.
“When I joined Tui in 2010, my first experience was within sales and marketing so having the opportunity to now lead this important area of the business is a real privilege.
“Under Neil’s leadership, our teams have worked hard to develop Tui’s relationship with independent travel agent partners, and it remains my priority to ensure that continues and agents are provided with everything they need to successfully sell Tui’s extensive range of holidays to their customers.”
