The route will see an aircraft upgrade to Boeing 777-300, giving business class passengers the opportunity to book the recently introduced Club Suite.

The aircraft will offer more premium seats, including eight first class, 76 in Club World, 40 premium economy and 130 economy.

The additional service from Heathrow will run on December 11, 12, 18, 19, 26 and 27 followed by January 2, 3, 8 and 9.

Barbados Tourism Marketing interim head of global markets Cheryl Carter said: “Barbados is delighted with the news that British Airways will increase their service from London Heathrow to Bridgetown for December and January 2022.

“Winter is peak season in Barbados, with temperatures reaching highs of 29C.

“This new flight will allow even more UK travellers to enjoy some winter sun and experience our beautiful island.”
