A new Boston tourism push is being introduced as the US city renames its promotional organisation.
The Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau (GBCVB) has become Meet Boston as it seeks to highlight the city’s arts, culture and food scene with the new campaign.
The ‘Boston Never Gets Old’ promotion includes dynamic creative visuals and feature surprise ambassadors from the sports and entertainment industry.
Meet Boston plans a tailored programme of agent training to include in-person and webinars, plus an e-newsletter.
Hosted group fam trips to the city are on the agenda and Meet Boston will work to actively support tour operator partners and the increasing airlift with partners such as Delta Air Lines, United, JetBlue, American Airlines, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, according to a spokesperson.
Meet Boston president and chief executive Martha Sheridan said:“Tourism is integral to the Boston and Bay State economy, and it was time for us to further invest in promoting all that we have to offer, to draw large-scale, international events to Boston.
“Boston is a global city that always deserves to be on the world stage. We have five-star hotels, world-class venues, art exhibitions, incredible professional sports teams and 23 diverse neighbourhoods where 76 different languages are spoken.
“We also have 400 years of history that is not to be forgotten as we look to the future.”
