Emirates to hold pilot recruitment roadshows

Emirates is holding three roadshows in the UK to recruit experienced commercial pilots.

The carrier is inviting pilots to attend the shows from August 11 to August 13 at hotels near Manchester, Luton and Gatwick airports, to see presentations at 10am and 1pm.

Candidates applying for the position of first officer must have a valid airline pilot license, experience on multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft, and a minimum of 2,000 flying hours experience on 20 tonne maximum take-off weight aircraft.

The airline promises pilots will fly “one of the world’s youngest and most modern fleets”, comprising Airbus265 and Boeing aircraft, and said investment in renewing its fleet means pilots will fly Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, Boeing 777-Xs and Airbus A350-900s in coming years.

Emirates said company benefits include a “competitive tax-free salary, generous accommodation and education allowance, and excellent medical and dental cover,” as well as travel benefits for the entire family across the airline’s global network.

As the positions are based in Dubai, the carrier said it will arrange for spouses to travel to the city for the assessment to give them the opportunity to “get a feel” for Dubai.
