Mumbai opens as second Finnair route to India

A new route to Mumbai in India is being introduced by Finnair from its Helsinki base.

Flights using two-class Airbus A330 aircraft will initially run three times a week, increasing to four times weekly in November.

Mumbai is Finnair’s second route to India, with the carrier already flying daily to the Indian capital of Delhi.

Return flights from London to Mumbai via Helsinki start at £481 in economy and£1,505 in business class.

Sakari Romu, Finnair general manager for India, said: “We are very excited to start our operations from Mumbai.

“Our three-weekly flights serve our customers not only in providing a connection to Finland but also to our network in the US and major European cities.”
