Qatar Airways will resume flights to Gatwick from June 5, offering a daily service to its Doha hub with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The resumption of the Gatwick service follows the launch of daily Gatwick-Doha flights by Qatar Airways’ Joint Business partner British Airways.
It also means that Qatar will be offering services from four UK airports, as it has a five-times daily service from Heathrow; 18-times weekly offering from Manchester; and four flights a week from Edinburgh, rising to daily from June 2.
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group chief executive, said: “Our commitment to the UK market has been unwavering and we operated continuously and reliably throughout the pandemic, so I am pleased we can resume our popular service to London Gatwick.
“This year is very special for us, not least as it is the 25th anniversary of the start of our flights to London Heathrow in March 1997.”
