Travelbank Holidays sells 400 Rangers final trip places in three days

All 400 places were sold in three days for a Travelbank Holidays trip to Seville to see Rangers play in the Uefa Europa League final.

The first 189 tickets were sold in 24 hours, with a second batch snapped up by Tuesday evening.

The Scottish team qualified for the final on May 5 and Travelbank Holidays mobilised flights and an advertising campaign the following day while extending the opening hours of its call centre.

The Glasgow company’s day trip for fans departs from the Scottish city at 6am on May 18, returning after the match in Seville at 2am on May 19.

Scottish TV news will be joining Travelbank Holidays customers in Seville to film Rangers in the Europa League final for the first time in 14 years.

Managing director Lloyd Ingram said: “We are delighted to be offering supporters travel from Glasgow which has been mobilised as a result of our customers feedback.

“Our goal is to make travelling simple from Glasgow to Seville where we aim to provide customers with as much time in resort in order to enjoy the festivities.

“The demand has simply been unbelievable and supporters really do see this as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“We have also been working with agencies throughout Scotland and selling our bespoke supporters’ product to the trade offering an 11% commission.”

Travelbank Holidays is a member of Protected Trust Services.
