Vueling has announced six new routes to Spain from Gatwick for this Easter.
The new direct routes will operate to the Spanish cities of Seville, Granada, Malaga, La Coruña, Menorca and Almeria, with services starting between April 1 and April 3.
It brings the total number of direct routes from UK airports to 24 between April 8 and April 18.
This includes 13 direct routes out of Gatwick – a similar level of operation to the same period in 2019 – and 11 routes from Newcastle, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Cardiff airports.
The airline, part of IAG, also offers flights to Paris Orly out of Newcastle, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Cardiff over the Easter break following the launch of new routes in November last year. This followed the European Commission’s approval of 18 slots as part of the recapitalisation of Air France.
In addition, the airline is increasing its flight frequencies to Barcelona from Gatwick, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Manchester airports. It is operating 49 flights a week to Barcelona out of Gatwick this Easter; nine out of Manchester; seven out of Birmingham and two out of Edinburgh.
