AmaWaterways’ 2022 European season has begun with a Danube sailing on the double-width AmaMagna vessel which departed from Budapest.
To coincide with the launch, the line has today announced it will operate 21 ships across Europe in 2022, including five ships on four rivers in France and 10 vessels on the Rhine, Moselle, Danube and Douro, during the season.
An excursion to the once-in-a-decade horticulture expo Floriade in Amsterdam has been included in nine itineraries running between April 14 and October 9 this year.

Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways, said: “There is incredible pent-up demand, with travellers anxious to pack their bags and start fulfilling their travel ‘must do’ list.
“A desire to step away from the day-to-day and reconnect with the world is driving demand for longer cruises, itineraries that include exclusive events.”
AmaWaterways last week reported “strong” demand from both past passengers and those new to river cruising.
