Virgin Voyages has expanded its UK sales team with three appointments including two business development executives focusing on the north and south of the country.
Jack Atherton becomes business development executive in the south and Layla Davies, who was previously at flight consolidator Aviate, will take the same role but in the north.
Atherton returns to the cruise industry after a seven-month spell working for DHL Express.
Prior to leaving the sector this year, Atherton had spells at P&O Cruises and the wider Carnival UK company.
Kerry Buchanan joins the line’s team as a sales executive. Virgin Voyages said she will provide “back office support to our First Mates [travel agents] and clear the path for their success” and she “has proven track record of epic trade support in previous roles”.
The overall team includes eight sales staff with the three appointments.
Shane Riley, associate vice president, international sales, said: “We’ve doubled the size of our team and the commitment to our First Mates.
“We set out to find rock stars and we did just that. Our expanded team will mean we can reach more First Mates than ever before.”
