Alfa Travel ‘cuts emissions’ with new coaches

Ten advanced, environmentally friendly coaches have been introduced by Alfa Travel to run UK tours.

The operator is enhancing its 50-strong fleet with the Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches.

The additions mean that every coach operated by Alfa meets stringent Euro VI emissions standards, according to the company.

Each of the new coaches is also equipped with free Wi-Fi and USB charging sockets.

Managing director Emma Russell said: “This significant investment underscores our commitment to offering customers high-quality holidays, with a focus on safety, comfort and environmental sustainability.”

“Our Alfa coaches are incredibly popular with customers and these latest additions will only enhance the travel experience. We look forward to seeing our drivers warmly welcoming passengers onboard as the coaches hit the road.”

She added: ”Customer safety is our top priority. All our coaches come with advanced safety features like active brake assist, lane departure warning, and sideguard assist, as well as traffic sign assist and driver attention monitoring.

“We also have tyre pressure monitoring to ensure everything is running smoothly. With Webfleet telemetry and Lytx camera systems in place, passengers can relax and enjoy their journey, knowing they’re in safe hands.”
