Reviews platform Feefo fills new marketing chief role

James Shanahan has been named in the newly created role of chief marketing officer at verified reviews platform Feefo.

The appointment follows the acquisition of customer reviews business, Reevoo, earlier this year.

Shanahan joins Feefo from Bionic, a comparison service for SMEs, where he was digital marketing director.

He will be responsible for developing global brand and marketing strategies to advance Feefo’s international expansion.

Shanahan will also drive new and existing customer revenue growth with a marketing and analytics team.

The company is hiring new staff across the organisation, with the software development team alone set to double to 65 over the next six to 12 months.

Chief executive Tony Wheble said: The reviews and customer insights space is ripe for disruption with the coronavirus pandemic making digital experiences more important than ever.

“We’re helping brands raise the bar for the customers who rely on reviews to make informed purchase choices.

Shanahan added: “We’re working with over 4,000 fantastic brands and have a strong management team with a wealth of sector experience.

“There is a huge demand for our product suite and marketing is going to be key to tapping into this and taking Feefo to the next level.”
