Fred Olsen Travel has rewarded eight “millionaire sellers” with a four-night cruise on Silversea’s Silver Ray.
Each agent brought in more than £1 million in sales last year and the trip was arranged and sponsored by Silversea.
Silver Ray, the line’s newest ship, sailed from Venice to Dubrovnik with calls in Trieste, Zadar and Split.
Agents stayed in suites on board and enjoyed inclusive food and drink, excursions and free time to explore the ship.
The eight “millionaire sellers” were: Tanya Marshallsay, branch manager in Ferndown; Sally Jones, assistant manager in Lymington; Gayle Nicholls, assistant manager in Ferndown; Charlotte Robson, branch manager in Westbourne; Mark Scrivener, branch manager in Bury St Edmunds; Nigel Alexander, branch manager in Dorchester; Madeleine Mayes, senior travel consultant in Felixstowe; and Annie Clougherty, senior travel consultant in Felixstowe.
One other qualifying agent, Emily Jacobs, assistant manager of the Felixstowe branch, was unable to attend.
This was the first VIP trip for the chain’s “Millionaires Club” agents, and with qualifying staff previously receiving a financial kick-back for their sales efforts.
Paul Hardwick, director of retail for Fred Olsen Travel, said: “It was amazing to take our 2023 million pound sellers away on such a special cruise and we are incredibly grateful to Connie Georgiou and Donatella Valzasina at Silversea for arranging it for us.
“To see our top agents from across the country come together and spend time celebrating their mutual success was so gratifying and I know it benefited them massively.
“I am sure Silversea will also benefit with even more bookings now they have experienced the product, and I am also sure that all of our other staff will be working even harder to make sure they join the Millionaire club in 2024.”
Hardwick previously said he hoped to make the trip an annual event and that the company would reach “double digit” numbers of “millionaire agents” in 2024.
Last year the chain sold £7 million worth of luxury cruises and this year it is targeting a 30% increase in that figure.
Average sales values this year were already up by £200 per booking on last year as a result of the company’s focus on luxury travel.
