DISNEYLAND Paris has reported a 60% increase in UKvisitors to the park.
Since 1996 visitor numbers have risen to 1.9m with 25% of rooms now occupied by a UK tourist.
Head of commercial affairs, UK and Ireland, Tony Lincoln said the growth can be attributed to several factors including the accessibility of the park and the strong pound.
“It’s a combination of everything: pricing, presentation, the message and product awareness,” he added.
Disneyland Paris continually reinvents its product with new shows, rides and attractions, he said.
The ride Indiana Jones, Temple of Peril will reopen at the end of March running backwards and is expected to draw large numbers of crowds.
The live action Tarzan show is being launched in early April along with the Toy Story 2 show.
The 5,500-room capacity at the park runs at an average of 82% occupancy.
General manager UK, Ireland and Nordic, Mark Gordon, said rooms are full even during the week now and into the low season.
A second park is scheduled for 2002, Disneyland Paris’ tenth anniversary.
