n Radisson programme offers new island itineraries
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises has launched its Asia, Australia and South Pacific programme with two South Pacific itineraries on the 490-passenger Seven Seas Navigator. Departing the UK on August 18, a 26-night flycruise from San Francisco to Sydney calls at Christmas Island, Samoa, Tonga, New Caledonia and Fiji. The 22-night Los Angeles-Cairns cruise departs the UK on November 28 and takes in ChristmasIsland, Samoa and Fiji. Prices lead in at £5,718 and £5,185respectively.
n air pacific launches nadi to rarotongA service
Air Pacific, Fiji’s international airline, began twice weekly services from Nadi to Rarotonga in the Cook Islands on June 2. Flights depart Nadi on Friday and Sunday at 9.15pm, arriving 2.20am. Return services from Rarotonga will depart at 3.40am Friday and Sunday, arriving Nadi Saturday and Monday at 5.20am for morning connections toAustralia and New Zealand.
n Fiji island resortsadded to brochures
Hayes and Jarvis and Air New Zealand have added Fiji’s Tokoriki Island Resort to their brochures. Nearly 20 miles west of Fiji’s international airport at Nadi, the resort has 29 beachfront bures – holiday bungalows – in four price brackets, ranging from basic to honeymoon. It offers swimming, snorkelling, diving, sailing, game fishing and boat trips.
n turtle island awarded top green globe accolade
Fiji’s Turtle Island has been awarded a Green Globe Distinction Award for outstanding environmental performance.The private resort uses furniture built from local timber and grows 90% of vegetables and herbs required for a maximum 28 guests.
