BA cuts cost of long-haul business fares
BRITISHAirways has stepped up the battle for long-haul business passengers by rolling out four new types of Club World fares.It claims the cheapest ticket – the Premium Leisure Saver fare – will cut business-class prices by 28% on Heathrow flights to Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco.
According to BA, the three other fares – Multi Carrier, BA Flexible and Premium Business Saver – save business passengers between 4%-19% on previous tickets.
Examples of cheapest premium-class prices are £2,561 to New York with Premium Leisure Saver and £3,907 to San Francisco. This ticket must be booked 30 days in advance for specific flights.
The most expensive option, Multi Carrier, allows travel on BA and its partners, including new Oneworld members LanChile and Aer Lingus. Fares start at £3,565 to New York.
BA Flexible is only available on BA services. Premium Business Saver must be booked seven days in advance.
Similar savings are also available in first class.
