Hilton to invest £30m in interactive services
HILTON UK and Ireland has unveiled a £30m initiative to roll out interactive and entertainment services in all its 14,000 hotel rooms. The ASCARI Interactive package will allow customers to surf the Internet, watch the latest movies, use the latest Playstation games, receive messages, review their bills and settle their accounts.
The hotel company has signed a nine-year contract with Granada Business Technology to install the new technology package in all its properties over the next year.
Purchasing director Graeme Grieve said: “In a competitive market, we have to provide our guests with added value at all times. This system is personalised to each guest during their stay so we can create a dialogue and through this we expect to be able to build loyalty.”
