Inghams drops US resorts from ski brochure
INGHAMShas dropped US resorts Aspen and Mammoth and the Spanish destination of Formigal from its 2000/01 ski brochure. The firm blamed the move on lack of demand. “Flights to the US resorts were also difficult,” added a spokeswoman.
New destinations for next season include French resort Val Cenis and Italy’s Solda, Ortisei, Santa Cristina, Arabba, Corvara and Passo Tonale. It has alsoadded Stoneham and Mont Ste Anne in Canada.
Val Cenis leads in at £222 for seven nights’ self-catering.
Increased capacity has been put into flights to Innsbruck, Geneva, Sion and Salzburg in partnership with British Airways and charter carriers.
Capacity in chalets has been frozen, although the firm has replaced some properties with upgraded facilities. Three club hotels have been added with a budget hotel and a four-star property in Courchevel and a four-star option in Serre Chevalier. Packages to Lapland have been enhanced with a two-week extension of the season and a new charter flight from Manchester.
