Radcliffe sets sights on new acquisitions
HOGG Robinson chief executive David Radcliffe is looking at acquiring rival companies after masterminding one of the biggest management buyouts in UK history.Radcliffe, whose offer of 285p for each Hogg Robinson share was accepted by the majority of shareholders, said:”As a public limited company, we have not done as many acquisitions as we would have liked. We had to focus on the short-term growth of the company to keep the City happy. Now we will look long-term.”
He said all staff jobs at Hogg Robinson and its sister companies – which include BTI UK – are secure.
Meanwhile, Galileo UK general manager of sales and marketing Peter Grover is expected to join Hogg Robinson’s technology development company TRX as managing director.
