n Safari agency plans uk roadshow tour


The Safari Agency, which represents safari and adventure companies in Southern Africa, will hold a Safari Road Show for agents and tour operators after World Travel Market. Incorporating workshops, presentations and sales visits, the roadshow will visit London and the North of England as part of a European tour, although dates and venues are not yet confirmed. n african pride offers treat for flower fans


Cape Flowers in Springtime, a 17-day Cape tour aimed at flower lovers and those who like to get off the beaten track, is introduced by African Pride. Departing UK on September 4 and October 2, it takes in the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, the Caledon Wildflower Garden and Reserve and Namaqualand. Prices start at £1,650 per person, including flights, taxes, accommodation, coach travel and some meals.


n rovos rail reroutes pride of africa service


Rovos Rail has rerouted its Pride of Africa train journey from Pretoria to Victoria Falls because of political instability and flood damage in Zimbabwe. The train will stop at Pietersburg where aircraft will transport passengers to and from the Falls, taking in some stunning scenery.


n skeleton coast camp up and running


The exclusive Skeleton Coast Camp has just opened in Namibia. The camp offers sole access to 40,000 hectares of wilderness, which can be explored on foot or by four-wheel drive. It has five two-person tents with verandas, showers and en-suites. A four-day, three-night safari costs from £1,400 per person, including internal flights, meals and activities.
